x-men: days of future past

The summer blockbuster season is starting a bit early this year, with Marvel Studios unveiling their latest film this weekend instead of during the first week of May like they usually do, but it won't be long until each week brings a brand new big budget action-packed movie to theaters around the world. Certainly one of our most anticipated of the season is Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past, which will bring elements together from over a decade of X-Men movies.

Based on the famous arc from the comics, X-Men: Days of Future Past begins in an apocalyptic future where the surviving members of the titular team must live in hiding due to the Sentinels, an army of mutant-hunting robots trained to destroy every member of Homo superior. Desperate for a way to change the world, the X-Men devise a plan to send the consciousness of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back in time to 1973. Once there, he must not only reunite young Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender), but also stop an event that ushers in the rein of the Sentinels. The stacked cast also includes Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Daniel Cudmore, Adan Canto, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, and Fan Bing Bing.
